Astana, Kazakhstan
I Design Access collaborated with the National Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan to design a new training center. I Design Access was in charge of overseeing all the accessible design solutions and the review of the Paralympic sport programs that could best fit in the building.
The project consisted of an existing building that was remodeled into a training center housing a number of Paralympic sports such as, para-badminton, para-judo, para-powerlifting, seating volleyball and a training space for wheelchair basketball. The center also includes housing for those athletes coming from afar and those rooms where fully designed to allow athletes to comfortably and independently live at the training center.
